Privacy without small print
What Meridian 2140 stores, why it does so, how long it keeps it and how you stay in control.
Meridian 2140 is built to explain Bitcoin, not to assemble a dossier about its readers. There are no advertising pixels, no cross-site tracking, no sale of visitor data and no automated profiling.
Optional first-party analytics
Only after consent, Meridian 2140 creates a random session identifier in sessionStorage and sends the visited path, language, referring host, country code and device class to its own analytics endpoint. The application does not store your full IP address, name, email address or advertising identifier. The session identifier expires with the browser session and is not used across other websites.
Purpose: understand which public pages are useful and improve navigation. Legal basis: consent. You can withdraw it at any time through the Privacy settings button; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Retention
Individual analytics events are deleted after 30 days. Aggregated editorial conclusions may be kept without a session identifier. Device preferences remain until their stated expiry or until you clear browser storage.
Recipients and international processing
Data is not sold. It may be processed by hosting and security providers only as needed to operate the site, or disclosed where required by law. Global infrastructure may involve processing outside your country; provider contractual and legal safeguards apply where required.

06Infrastructure and external services
- The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers process technical request data needed to deliver and secure the site.
- To display the live Bitcoin price and network status, your browser retrieves public data directly from CoinGecko and mempool.space. Those providers receive the technical request data needed to answer it.
- The embedded BTC Map loads automatically. Your browser therefore connects directly to BTC Map and OpenStreetMap under their own privacy terms.
- Opening an external source link creates a direct connection to that third-party website. Meridian 2140 does not control its processing.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Because Meridian 2140 deliberately avoids account data and direct identifiers, it may not be possible to link a session-only record back to you. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or your local supervisory authority.

Changes
This notice will be updated when the site’s data practices materially change. A new consent will be requested if a change affects an existing choice.
